The Foundation for Sport and the Arts will close to applications in March 2009 bringing to an end a fund worth £350m since 1991.

The pressure is on for communities who want a £50,000 slice of the Big Lottery Fund’s People’s Millions. Groups in Northern Ireland have just until 15th May to put in their bid to enter this year’s TV contest which has £250,000 in good cause cash to award across the region.

A call has been announced for the Peace III Programme, Priority 1.2 Acknowledging and dealing with the past (Strand 3 - Securing the Future)
Key activities within this theme will seek to acknowledge and deal with the hurt, losses and trauma and suffering caused by the conflict.
The Centre for Social Justice (CSJ) Awards recognise and reward effective poverty fighting groups from across the UK.

The Big Lottery Fund, People’s Millions scheme, wants to fund projects that transform the local environment or provide opportunities or facilities to allow people to take part and enjoy their local area.
