CFNI Peace Extension Measure 2.4 reopen

The Community Foundation for Northern Ireland, as an Implementing Body for PEACE II Extension, seeks applications for grant aid to fund a project, or projects, relating to Measure 2 Priority 4 - Pathways to Inclusion, Integration and Reconciliation of Victims

The design and delivery of a training model that will offer a series of workshops aimed at building the capacity for engagement, sharing, debate and discussion on ways to deal with the past to ensure a better future.

The impact of this training would be to ensure that participants are:

  1. More ready to address the dealing with the past debate,
  2. Engaged in training and support that discusses both the risk and benefits of different
    approaches to dealing with the past,
  3. More skilled to implement and/or support dealing with the past strategies.
It is expected that applications will be made by either individual organisations or consortia of organisations that have a proven ability to deliver high standard work to a tight timescale and that can demonstrate the ability to work within and across all communities and sectors in Northern Ireland

The project, or projects, must commence no later than 1 May 2007 and be completed by 30 June
2008.

It is envisaged that no more than 4 projects would be supported under this Measure 2.4 call with the maximum grant aid allocated to individual projects of no more than £250,000.

Applications must be made by way of both a Part A and a Part B application including a detailed action plan using the template supplied. The Part A application must be completed online and is available at www.eugrants.org. The Part B application, including the action plan template, is available on the Community Foundation's website or by contacting the PEACE II Administrator (details as above).

The closing date for the receipt of completed applications is 5pm Tuesday 13 March 2007. Late and/or incomplete applications will not be considered
