Northern Ireland Public Sector Enterprises (NI-CO) Small Logo

The 'To Europe and Beyond' grant offers financial support up to £2,000 to develop personal and professional skills in countries where Northern Ireland is developing opportunities.

NI-CO,the overseas marketing arm of the Northern Ireland public service, has recently launched a new grant scheme which aims to promote Northern Ireland‘s role in international development and encourage shared learning between Northern Ireland and the developing world.

NI-CO will consider any research or study programme which facilitates knowledge transfer and learning between Northern Ireland and the following regions:

  • Eastern Europe and Central Asia
  • Middle East
  • South and Eastern Asia and Pacific
  • Sub-Saharan Africa
  • British dependent territories

To qualify applicants must : europe and byond logo

  • Be over 18 and in full time employment in Northern Ireland
  • Currently working within the public or voluntary sector
  • Have the full support of their Head of Department.

No applications will be considered from current NI-CO employees, NI-CO Board Members or members of NI-CO Advisory groups.

Applications will be judged on the following criteria :

  • The proposed contribution of the project to international development priorities
  • The benefits to Northern Ireland
  • The sustainability of the project
