Aims and Objectives

To empower local communities to develop,
resource and implement local preventative and educational initiatives to combat the abuse of drugs. To promote greater co-ordination between community organisations and statutory agencies in the Lisburn area. To identify community need/problems & experiences related to drugs/substances. To mobilise and develop physical and human resources to help address substance misuse. To provide training and develop skills within the community that will empower individuals and groups to address substance misuse at a local level. To develop opportunities which divert users and at-risk groups away from substance misuse.
To enhance co-ordination and co-operation between communities/statutory agencies and service providers.
