Aims and Objectives
Comic Relief was set up in response to the famine in the Horn of Africa in 1984-1985. Since then they have made a serious commitment to long-term development in Africa.
The Comic Relief Africa grants programme exists to support people in Africa to unite to improve their lives, make their voices heard and create a fairer society.
They also raise awareness about Africa in the UK, through their documentaries, their public education and their work in schools.
