Aims and Objectives
The charity was founded in May 2003 in memory of Maureen Clarke's daughter Julie who passed away in October 2002 of Ovarian cancer.
The reason why Maureen formed the group was due to the lack of information, and support available for this disease. The aims of the organisation are.
1 - Raise awareness throughout the general and medical population.
2 - Fund research.
3 - Support sufferers, survivors and their families.
Maureen is currently travelling round women's groups with a power point presentation to cover many aspects of Ovarian Cancer. We would welcome any groups to contact us for further details.
An information leaflet has also been produced 14,000 copies have been distributed to different outlets.
