As the Northern Ireland Assembly concludes the legislation to create our own Charity Commission and with changes in Company Law also impacting on third sector organisations, this is a unique opportunity to jointly consider what your Board or Management Committee could do to prepare to meet new challenges.

Attendance at the event also includes one complimentary copy of the acevo publication “A CEO's Guide to Board Development”. This Guide to Board Development looks at the processes needed to evaluate a board's performance.

CO3 will be joined by Andrew Hinds, Chief Executive of the Charity Commission for England and Wales, who will share insight into the establishment and operation of the charity commission in England and Wales. He will also give members some very timely, insight into the role and operation of a Charity Commission for N.Ireland. We will also gain some very useful insight on the legal implications of the new Charity Legislation and changes in Company Law that impact on charities from Jennifer Ebbage, Charity Law expert from Cleaver Fulton Rankin. Members will have the opportunity to put some questions to Andrew and Jenny in a Q&A session.
