PROGRESS Towards Equality is a wide ranging project, involving AdviceUK, AdviceNow, Advice NI, British Institute of Human Rights, Citizens Advice Scotland (CAS), Citizens Advice (England & Wales), Law Centres Federation, and Northern Ireland Association of Citizens AdviceBureaux.

As part of this PROGRESS Towards Equality Project a number of events are taking place across the UK which aim to:

  • Increase awareness of discrimination and human rights, what people’s rights are and who can help to take action
  • Increase networking among a range of equality and advice groups to counter
  • discrimination
  • Increase awareness of European Union campaigns to promote diversity and combat
  • discrimination
  • Identify issues requiring action by the Equality Commissions in the UK and the European
  • Commission

Who should attend?

  • Information providers with little or no experience in discrimination and human rights
  • Generalist advisors with little or no experience in discrimination and human rights cases
  • Specialist advisors with experience in employment or social welfare casework and/ or
  • discrimination cases
  • Individuals with an interest in equality and human rights issues
