NICVA began the process of developing the 2006 – 2009 Policy Manifesto for the voluntary and community sector in April of this year. After a consultation period 23 categories for action were agreed.

Positive steps

The Taskforce on Resourcing the Voluntary and Community Sector was one of the biggest developments in the sector in recent years. This page allows you to chart the development of the Taskforce and the implementation of Positive Steps - the governments response.

Review of Public Administration

The Review of Public Administration will have wide ranging and long lasting implications for everyone who lives in NI. These pages offer a resource for organisations interested in sharing information and working together on the many issues that the RPA has presented.

Policy manifesto

The NICVA Policy Manifesto is an opportunity for the sector to produce a proactive set of priorities - discussed and agreed - rather than responding to government's agenda on topics that are not of our choosing.

NICVA now facilitates four policy fora, for specific issue and interest groups. The four policy fora are - Women's, Older People's, Environmental and Voluntary and Community Arts.
