European Programmes Advisory Group

The European Programmes Advisory Group (EPAG) was established by Northern Ireland Council for Voluntary Action (NICVA) to provide a forum for the voluntary and community sector to discuss EU issues and in particular the implementation of EU funding programmes.

Membership:

EPAG has 40 members who are drawn from networks and regional organisations in the voluntary and community sector with geographical and issue based remits. EPAG meets three to four times a year.

Role

The Role of EPAG is to:

  • Act as a forum to discuss future programmes
  • Share information on the development of new programmes
  • Inform/share information, lobby, represent the sector in negotiations
  • Improve voluntary and community sector input on wider EU issues/programmes
  • Support community/ voluntary sector representatives on Monitoring Committees
