This month's round up

Welcome to the summer edition of NICVA news which, appropriately enough, goes to print in the middle of a heatwave. Talking of heat, the latest Members' Survey shines the spotlight firmly on training needs in the sector which resulted in the launch of our brand new training calendar covering the areas you felt are most needed. Also on the training front, with much talk of merger and collaboration in the sector, timely training is available this summer on partnerships and mergers. Check out the training pages for all the available opportunities.

What's been happening? Since the last issue, we ran another successful Members' Day helping people to make better use of their online communications, while Climate change and you (yes, you!) - our inspirational environmental event - highlighted the need for all of our sector to get to grips with the environment, not just the 'green' organisations.

Now that all the excitement about the new Assembly has died down, we thought it might be a good idea to keep tabs on what the MLAs are getting up to. Our online Assembly Monitor service aims to do just that with details of Assembly business and information about the workings at Stormont.

Finally, congratulations to Help the Aged and New Lodge Forum, worthy winners of the SCOPE Communication Awards. Have a great summer ...
