The Farepak collapse ruined Christmas for many parents and children

Last year, the Council took a keen interest in the Farepak crisis by providing practical help and information to the 3,000 people affected in Northern Ireland.

The Council wants to hear from Farepak customers and agents on how the crisis affected them. It also wants to look at protected pre-payment savings that may be a safer way to save that still meets people's needs. The information will be used to lobby for change and to inform the Department for Trade and Industry inquiry into the collapse.

Farepak customers or agents should contact Nóra Quigley at the Consumer Council on Icon of a telephone 028 9067 4803 or Icon of an envelope nquigley@consumercouncil.org.uk.
