Tea off to save children's lives

You can help to save the lives of the ten million children who die each year by running a tea party.

Ten million young children die each year but you can join thousands of people to raise money in Save the Children’s biggest ever campaign to save their lives.

And it can be easy and pleasant. If you love a cuppa at home or at work, click on Go Tea-potty for an information pack and hold your own tea party with friends, family and colleagues.

You can organise one during Save the Children’s national appeal week, Sunday 27 April - Saturday 3 May. Marks and Spencer will be supplying tea, coffee and lots of pancakes (courtesy of Ormeau Bakery) for tea parties.

The charity wants to do something about the appalling fact that ten million children still die every year before their fifth birthday. Incredibly, most die from illnesses like diarrhoea or pneumonia – things we know how to prevent or treat.

There are other things you can do to save children’s lives. Click on www.savethechildren.org.uk to give your support and get more information.
