If you or someone you know is affected by MS, we are here to help you.

This is the message that the MS Society, NI will be delivering in town centres across Northern Ireland and outside Belfast City Hall on Monday 24 April 2006 between 12 noon and 1.00pm to launch the 8th Annual MS Awareness Week.

Kieran Harris, NI Director said:

“The MS Society treats the raising of awareness of MS as its number one priority.”

He added, “Whilst awareness of Multiple Sclerosis has grown in recent years there is still a lack of knowledge as to exactly what MS is and isn’t and we hope by taking our awareness campaign to town centres across Northern Ireland we will greatly increase the awareness of MS and also make those affected by MS, who may not know where to go for help, aware that our Society, through its professionally trained staff and volunteers is here to offer help and support.”

MS is the most common debilitating neurological condition affecting young adults in the UK today, with over 3,500 people living with MS in Northern Ireland.
