Margaret receives her ASET Learner of the Year Award

Margaret successfully completed a Personal Safety Awareness course with the WEA through her local New Horizons centre in Enniskillen. Her tutor Hazel Hicks, who nominated her for the award, explains why she is such a deserving winner.

“Margaret was an outstanding learner on the course. She was, and continues to be, an inspiration to others. She overcame many challenges to complete the course and thoroughly deserves this award.”

Through the course Margaret’s confidence, motivation and problem solving skills have improved and she now feels better equipped to take on new challenges including further courses to improve her personal and life skills.

WEA Director Stevie Johnston commented,

“We are absolutely delighted that a WEA learner has won this national award. Margaret is an extremely worthy winner and this is also recognition of the excellent learning opportunities provided by the WEA.”
