Programme description

From July 2006, Belfast Exposed will contract consultants to work alongside senior management identifying and meeting knowledge & information gaps relating to key areas of Belfast Exposed’s strategic planning and management; financial management, audit and taxation; personnel management; employment law; and governance.

Key tasks

• Deliver training to support Belfast Exposed staff development to support effective project planning, project management and information management skills
• Deliver 4 training sessions for managers from (up to) 6 visual arts partners around the following areas of shared interest: charities law; employment of freelance workers; copyright & IPR; financial recording.

Skills, knowledge and expertise

The successful Tenderer will be required to produce evidence and demonstrate the following capacities in the context of their specialized field:
• Understanding and support for Belfast Exposed’s ethos and mission as a not for profit, arts organisation
• Understanding and support for the aims and objectives of BX Business Competencies Development programme
• Previous experience in providing training and/or consultancy services to the independent and/or voluntary/charitable sector
• Appropriate resources and competencies and/or technical and/or technological expertise
• Willingness to involve BX management and staff as active partners and help build their capacity, organizational and management skills.
