The Arts Council has reopened its Lottery Projects, Equipment and Public Art Schemes on 28 August. All have a deadline of 27 September 2007. Lottery Projects can only apply for a 1 year funding term.

Guidelines and Application forms for the latest rounds of Lottery Projects, Equipment and Public Arts grants schemes are now available to download from the Arts Council website.

Public Art: The Public Art Programme is designed to support the commissioning of new art for public places throughout Northern Ireland.

Equipment: The Arts Council has designed this programme to enable organisations to purchase equipment and enhance their artistic services.

Lottery Projects: This programme has its own priorities and criteria. However, all applications should fit within the objectives stated in the Council’s five year plan and within its artform policies. Changes have been made to this programme which will apply to applications received for the 27 September 2007 deadline.

  • You can only apply for projects lasting up to one year (even though you have to address the Arts Council's five year plan)
  • You cannot apply for new administrative/salaried arts posts
  • You may not apply if you are an umbrella organisation not currently funded by the Arts Council.

PLEASE NOTE: ALTHOUGH THE ARTS COUNCIL ARE ONLY PERMITTING APPLICATIONS FOR A 1 YEAR TERM, GUIDELINES PROVIDED STILL INCLUDE CRITERIA FOR MULTI-YEAR GRANTS.

How to Apply

Applicants have until 27 September 2007 to submit applications for any of the three programmes.
