The Department of Social Development are seeking to appoint an organisation /partnership to act as an Intermediary Body for the Modernisation Fund Capital Programme on behalf of the Voluntary and Community Unit (VCU).
To facilitate modernisation initiatives within the Voluntary and Community sector in Northern Ireland the Department Of Social Development has launched a £15m Modernisation Fund Programme.
The Modernisation Fund Capital Programme is a £15 million grant programme which will fund projects such as providing equipment and facilities, help improve access to services, and is intended to resource a number of quite large scale projects that will exemplify the partnership driver for modernisation in the sector.
The Service Provider who will be required to act as an Intermediary Body will receive applications, assess applications, make recommendations for grant awards and provide technical assistance under the Modernisation Fund Capital Programme on behalf of the Voluntary and Community Unit (VCU).
An information day for potential applicants will be held on 02 August at 2.00pm in the The Holiday Inn Hotel, 22 Ormeau Avenue, Belfast, BT2 8HS.
