Business in the Community’s third annual Regional Recognition Awards, in association with resource have been launched.
These Awards are open only to companies from Northern Ireland and demonstrate that local companies are not only committed to corporate responsibility, but are happy to be recognised and rewarded for it – something which Business in the Community believes can only serve to inspire better business behaviour in others.
New categories this year include awards for Health and Wellbeing (sponsored by Carecall, in association with Action Cancer), Diversity (sponsored by Royal Mail) and Supporting Economic Growth (sponsored by BT Ireland).
The top accolade of Responsible Company of the Year will be passed on by last year’s winners, Musgrave Retail Partners, who are sponsoring the category in 2008.
Competition will also be fierce in other categories, including Environmental Improvement (sponsored by Phoenix Natural Gas), Developing People (sponsored by Foyle Food Group) and Local Community Impact (sponsored by PricewaterhouseCoopers).
Terence Brannigan, Chief Executive of resource, official sponsor of the awards, said:
The closing date for entries is Friday 14 March 2008.
The winners will be announced at a Gala Awards dinner in the Waterfront Hall on 29 May 2008.
