European Commission DG Employment & Social Affairs Small Logo

2006 is European Year of Workers’ Mobility and this call is aimed at enhancing mobility opportunities for workers in Europe, promoting the exchange of good practice and informing relevant stakeholders about the rights of workers to free movement as well as the instruments to support mobility in the EU in 2006.

EurosThe Commission is now seeking organisations that are able to run programmes of cooperation and awareness raising as well as pilot projects aimed at enhancing mobility opportunities for workers in Europe, thereby promoting best practice and informing stakeholders about the rights of workers to work in other Member States.

Proposals must be developed and implemented by a partnership involving at least two relevant stakeholders potentially interested in the objectives of the call, and in particular public authorities and social partner organisations operating at European, national, regional or local level, non-governmental organisations, businesses, academia, associations, foundations, municipalities, chambers of commerce, as well as the media.
Co-ordinated proposals which are original, significant, innovative, participative, and lead
to possible follow up activities will be given priority.

The budget available for the present call is estimated at €4 million, provided that the
budgetary authority confirms the budget allocations. The Commission will co-finance
projects up to a maximum of 85% of the total eligible costs.

Depending on the quality of the applications the Commission expects to fund between 20 and 30 projects (average grant between €100.000 and €150.000).

The deadline for the submission of applications is 12/12/2005.
