This is a special initiative within the PEACE II Programme designed to help disadvantaged rural communities maximize the opportunities for tourism development arising from peace, by utilising previously untapped natural and cultural resources in a sustainable manner.
The Mourne Heritage Trust is now calling for applications for the delivery of Rural Tourism
project(s) for the area under the NRRTI. The Project(s) must:
* Prior to submitting an application, applicants must consult with a member of the NRRTI
staff team to ensure that their proposal meets the essential criteria.
* Projects relating to employment, wages, salaries or running costs will not be considered.
Applicants will be required to complete PART A, online www.eugrants.org and PART B must be printed, completed manually, signed and returned to the Mourne Heritage Trust office.

Completed application forms (PART A & PART B) MUST be returned to the Mourne Heritage Trust by 4.00pm on Monday 19th June 2006 (opened 5th June 2006)
Note: At present there is a limited amount of grant aid available for projects under NRRTI. As a result a reserve list may be established and funding allocated accordingly.
