SEUPB announces closure of call for applications under the Enterprise Theme for INTERREG IVA

The first call for applications for the Enterprise theme of the new European Territorial Co-operation INTERREG IVA Programme will close on 15 February 2008. Applications will not be accepted after this date.

The programme, which covers Northern Ireland, Border Region of Ireland and Western Scotland, made its first call for applications in November 2007. Howard Keery, Director of the Special EU Programmes Body’s Joint Technical Secretariat explained:

“We are assessing those applications for presentation to the Steering Committee which will decide on funding. This is not the end of the Enterprise theme of the INTERREG IVA Programme, a further call under this measure, and calls for applications for other themes in the programme, will be made in the future.”

The Enterprise theme is part of the programme Priority 1 which encourages cross-border co-operation for a more prosperous region. Activities supported under this priority will help to diversify and develop the economy of the region by encouraging innovation and competitiveness.
