The Arts Council has raised the minimum threshold for this exchequer programme to £30,001. Therefore anyone seeking an application of £30,000 or less will be asked to apply for the National Lottery programme Multi-Annual Programme (MAP) when it reopens or apply to Awards for All (up to £10,000) or Lottery Project grants which are due to open in October.
The Annual Support for Organisations Programme (ASOP) is designed for organisations that have arts programmes running throughout the year. Organisations planning short term or fixed term projects, or single or annual events, should consult with Arts Council staff about the range of National Lottery schemes available in addition to the annual support programme: Awards for All, and the Lottery Project programme (to be launched October 2006). Individuals should consult with Arts Council staff about the Arts Council’s Support for Individual Artists Programme.
There is no upper limit on the level of annual funding under the Annual Support for Organisations Programme. However, because of the size of its grant from the Department of Culture, Arts, and Leisure, the Arts Council does not anticipate that it will be able to meet the operational and programming financial needs of every applicant for an annual award. As stated above, organisations are urged to consult with Arts Council staff about the various National Lottery schemes which may best suit their needs.
