St Columbs Park House is a center for reconciliation in Derry/Londonderry, promoting peace-building and democratic citizenship.

A vacancy has arisen with our youth based ASB programme which works in the areas of Pennyburn, Newbuildings and Sion Mills and examines the relationship between sectarianism and anti-social behaviour.

It is a fixed-term contract until 31st December 2010 with a possibility of extension.

Applicants must have;

• A youth work qualification and at least 3 years experience of working in a youth related field
• Or; a relevant third level qualification in a related field ie educational, social services or health and at least 3 years experience in a teaching or training environment including working with young people aged 18-25
• Demonstrable commitment to community relations principles and practices including experience and involvement in community relations programmes
• Excellent group facilitation and communication skills, written and oral
• Initiative and enthusiasm and be able to carry out a programme of work with limited supervision as well as being able to work as part of a team
• Be able to work unsocial hours when required

Applicants must also demonstrate;

• Awareness/understanding of the ASB Programme
• Experience of establishing and supporting working groups

Salary; NJC Scale 6 £20,295 -£21,654
