Salary £32,500 Fixed term contract until 31 March 2010

Working with a wide variety of stakeholders from the community/voluntary and public sectors, you will develop sub-regional age structures across Northern Ireland to ensure older people are involved in planning and policy decisions affecting them. Through this community development approach to change, we aim to engage and position older people in the emerging community planning structures and service delivery opportunities resulting from the Review of Public Administration.

These are home–based posts with each post covering one geographical area listed below:
Western coverage: Fermanagh, Tyrone and Londonderry
Eastern coverage: Down, Armagh and Antrim

Applicants must meet the following essential criteria

  • Be able to demonstrate:
  1. experience in effective partnership building
  2. experience of stakeholder management, working across organisational/sectoral boundaries
  3. experience in a project or change management role
  • Have a proven track record in community development with a clear understanding of capacity building or empowerment processes
  • Have a full current driving licence and access to a car for business use, or other form of transport that meets the travel requirements of the post
  • Have a flexible approach, as week-end and evening work may be required
