- To scope current advice, advocacy and information service provision for older people across Northern Ireland within the context of the current DSD advice strategy and other relevant government strategies including Promoting Social Inclusion, Investing for Health, etc.
- To scope current specialist advice, advocacy and information service provision relevant to older people outside the context of the strategy including the provision of UK advice services.
- To scope the advice, information and advocacy needs of older people and identify unmet need and advice requirements with particular reference to the community care agenda.
- To explore and develop business models which will create an integrated service model incorporating other specialist advice agencies and local generalist advice providers with due regard to best practice in the context of the Review of Public Administration and the age sector modernisation agenda.
- To identify the technology solution required to support a centralised and secure data storage across partners which will also inform future service delivery and policy, deliver reports to support all business needs, and reflect data in a timely manner; which can be maintained and supported to recognised standards and within data protection requirements.
- To secure communication and partnership agreement between interested agencies delivering advice and establish Government support.
