Training and Accreditation Officer (Initially 2 years full-time) (code LF TAO 004)

Salary: £22,122 (NJC Scale 6 Point 27)

Hours of Work: 35 per week

The Foundation is inviting applications for a Training and Accreditation Officer To contribute to the planning, development, implementation and evaluation of staff training and development within Lifestart. To ensure that management and staff acquire the skills and develop the competencies required by the organisation. The appointee will be based in the Lifestart Foundation Office in Derry but will be required to travel throughout Ireland.

Candidates are required to meet the following criteria:

Essential

  • Have an Honours Degree or Equivalent in Education, Social Sciences, Early Years, Community Education, Human Resource Management or a related discipline, and at least 2 years post qualifying experience in any of the above areas.
  • Have experience in:
  1. The delivery of training
  2. Identifying training and development needs within an organisation
  3. Have IT Skills e.g. (Word Processing, Power Point, Excel)
  4. Have multi-tasking, time management and excellent communication skills
  5. Have a full driving licence and use of a car for work purposes.

Desirable

  • Have experience in: Designing and developing training programmes; training moderation and accreditation; procuring training funding; or using e-learning techniques.
