Main Task of Job:
- To proactively market all aspects of BCM’s work.
- To develop and manage relationships with all BCM’s publics including the media, politicians and local government, statutory and voluntary funders, customers and Methodist Church supporters.
- To develop and implement an internal communications strategy.
- To work closely with the fundraising team to market all fundraising activities.
- To participate in fundraising activities where required.
- To raise awareness of BCM as a brand.
- To work with Project Managers to develop marketing plans for each of BCM’s projects.
- To proactively identify new markets for BCM’s work and opportunities for expanding existing work.
- To coordinate the design and production of all publicity materials including BCM’s organisational website.
- To establish and maintain relationships with the media and maximise coverage of BCM’s work.
- Implement systems for the effective monitoring and evaluation of BCM’s media coverage.
- To identify situations which may generate negative publicity for BCM’s work and to advise Senior Management on effective strategies for dealing with these situations.
- Attendance at all publicity and fundraising events when required.
General:
- Attend relevant identified training as required.
- Attend team meetings and other meetings as required.
