Action MS is Northern Ireland's leading multiple sclerosis charity, providing services to people with multiple sclerosis, their families and carers across Northern Ireland.

The position is Schools Project Officer. 2 posts are available. The role will be to engage schools in our Schools Walks Programme and to inform school-children and teachers about multiple sclerosis and about the work done by Action MS. The position is based in our Headquarters in Belfast and will involve travelling to the schools in the designated area.

The position is for school term-time only and will be part-time. The hours will be 19.75 per week, made up of two full days (8.45am to 5pm) and Friday (8.45am to 1.30pm).

The successful candidate must have

  • at least 2 A-levels in any subjects
  • a working knowledge of Microsoft Word (or equivalent)
  • have access to a vehicle for work purposes

It would be desirable, although not essential, that the successful candidate would have a degree (any subject), experience of working and communicating with school-age children, good organisational skills and attention to detail and record-keeping.
