The DHSS&PS have commissioned Contact Youth to provide a comprehensive regional 24/7 helpline with services including clinical assessment, counselling, alternative supports and referral service for the entire population of NI to commence in early 2008. To enable the expansion of this vital regional development for suicide prevention we now invite applications for a range of leadership, counselling and support posts.
These critically important counselling posts will deliver vital rapid response counselling for young people at significant risk based in the community throughout NI. As one of these counsellors you will continuously assess, monitor and review risk behavior and liaise with statutory and other service providers to ensure the best possible package of care for clients referred from the regional 24/7 Helpline. This is an opportunity to be at the core of creating innovative new service for the most vulnerable young people and being closely integrated with a whole system of counselling provision which spans community, schools and telephone.
Full time and part time posts are available. There may be opportunities after six months with the company to apply for senior counsellor status which is paid at a salary of £25,320 - £28,919.

CVs will not be accepted. Interviews will be held on 25- 28 February and 5&6 March 2008. We welcome multiple applications from counsellors interested in working on a combination of projects or in a variety of posts.
