This position is to provide a programme of systemic psychotherapy to young people and their family members who are engaged in the Lifematters programme. This is an early intervention programme for young people aged 8-17 who are misusing substance or at risk of misusing.
The key focus of the programme is working with young people whose drug or alcohol use has caused them to get into trouble/become involved with statutory agencies i.e. Social Workers, PSNI, PBNI / become excluded or under threat of exclusion from school or who are harming their health through drug and/or alcohol usage. A range of training and development, as well as therapeutic interventions are encompassed within the Lifematters programme. The programme will be delivered in the South Eastern Health and Social Care Trust area.
