Rural Community Network as partner of a consortium with six Rural Women’s Networks and WRDA wishes to recruit a
Rural Women’s Sectoral Programme Co-ordinator
to cordinate the development and implementation of the Women’s Sectoral Programme to increase women’s active involvement and participation in rural development at all levels.
Salary : Senior Development Rate £22,512 - £27,411 (NJC 29 – 36) – plus 6.5% pension
This is a full-time 2 year post from 1 July 2005 – June 2007 based in Rural Community Network, Cookstown with underspread travel throughout Northern Ireland.
Essential Criteria
3rd level education and two years full-time experience of managing and implementing rural / community development programme, or
Five years experience within voluntary / comuntiy sector managing and implementing rural / community development programme at a level which reflects overall competance of tasks of post.
Proven ability and experience working within a partnership framework. Experience working on own initiative as well as part of a team.
Strong commuication skills.
Good networking skills at all levels.
Understanding of needs and issues relating to rural women.
A degree is essential along with three years experience in the last five years of managing and implementing rural or community development projects / programmes, or a Community Development qualification (minimum certificate level) along with five years experience within the last seven years, of managing and implementing rural or community development projects / programmes. Experience of working with rural women is also essential.
