Greenway Women's Group seek to appoint a Deputy Childcare Coordinator

Greenway Women's Group exists to provide women within the Cregagh Estate, Castlereagh Borough, Greater Belfast and beyond, positive opportunities for development by breaking down barriers which prevent women’s full participation in society. We provide various services in supporting and empowering local women to engage with education, training, volunteering, employment and lifelong learning opportunities. These include: a variety of vocational, recreational and health related education courses; volunteering opportunities to implement and develop newly learned skills and provide onsite training; affordable, accessible, onsite childcare services which are paramount in enabling local women to access all of our education and training services. Overall responsibilities of the post:

  • Support the Childcare Coordinator in providing a stimulating and varied programme of play, in order to enhance each child’s abilities; and in a way which ensures the safety and well-being of children at all times
  • Listen to, encourage, enable, stimulate and ensure the well-being of all children placed in the crèche in line with current legislation and organisational childcare policies
  • Support and supervise other childcare staff (in the absence of the Childcare Coordinator) on a day-to-day basis
  • Integrate with other centre staff in order to ensure a harmonious and effective team-working environment.
