The Child Brain Injury Trust is a UK wide charity providing information and support to children with an acquired brain injury (ABI) and their families. Our recent research in Northern Ireland ‘High and Dry’ shows that the impact of acquired brain injury changes lives and lasts a lifetime. You need to understand this if you are interested in this post.
The Child and Family Support Project will act as a resource to the child and their family from the very early stages of injury through rehabilitation and on to living their lives again. This will involve developing information, raising awareness and advocating for and with the child and family.
The project will start small and is initially for twelve months. It is expected to grow substantially and continue following this period.
CBIT implements child protection, confidentiality and equal opportunities policies.
