Part time Development Worker

This post is funded for two years.

Overview

The Parenting Forum NI is keen to include the views of local parents in planning processes when working with statutory and other relevant bodies.  The remit of the project will be to establish contact with parental support groups / networks across Northern Ireland and link with these groups for the purpose of consultations on a variety of issues affecting parents and children.  Parents' views will help inform consultation processes and thus influence planning and development of services across Northern Ireland.

Essential Requirements Include

• At least three years experience of work in the field of child care or parenting education.
• Effective communication skills, including consultation, presentation skills and report writing.
• Qualification at NVQ Level three or above in health, social care, child care, community / youth work or training and development.
• Proven experience of facilitating groups.
• Computer literate.
