Mood Matters is a depression awareness programme for young people developed and delivered by Aware Defeat Depression in second level schools and other youth settings.
This work requires enthusiastic individuals who can deliver multimedia presentations to groups of young people (and adults with responsibility for young people) in their own educational or other youth setting, incorporating knowledge and experience of depression in a format that young people will relate to.
While individual styles are encouraged, successful applicants will be able to work within Aware Defeat Depression’s ethos and the parameters of the Mood Matters programme. Work will be allocated according to demand and in line with the sessional trainer’s availability and mutually agreed workload preferences. Being accepted on to the panel does not however guarantee work.
