The successful candidate will be required to manage and coordinate the Emotional and Physical Wellbeing element of the NIPPA Atlantic Philanthropies Project.
- A pass level degree (or equivalent) in Education or Early Childhood Care and Education or Social Work.
- A minimum of three years (in the last five years) experience in providing recognised training and curriculum support to staff working in an early years setting.
- Demonstrable experience in preparing and developing training programmes.
- Demonstrable experience and understanding of the issues relating to health, emotional wellbeing and physical activities and the challenges presented by developing these elements of practice in early years settings.
- Demonstrable experience in facilitating groups and using strategies to engage staff, committees and parents in particularly challenging issues.
- Demonstrable working knowledge of the research and theory that underpins and supports the role of emotional and physical wellbeing in early years.
- Demonstrate knowledge of current legislative and policy frameworks in relation to early years, e.g. fit future and physical activities strategies.
- Demonstrate an understanding of the community and voluntary early years sector.
- Demonstrable working knowledge of current funding programmes.
- Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills with internal and external relations.
- A full current driving licence enabling the holder to drive in NI and have the use of a vehicle for official purposes or have access to a form of transport that will enable the candidate to meet the requirements of the post in full.
