The post holder will be part of a busy casework team and will be required to provide specialist advice, advocacy and representation on housing debt, homelessness and issues relating to renting accommodation. S/he may also contribute to the delivery of training and legal information materials.

Essential requirements for the post include:

  • at least 12 months full-time (or equivalent part-time) experience gained over the last five years, in providing advice and representation to the public in a social welfare context
  • demonstrated experience in debt advice
  • experience managing a substantial caseload.
