In Northern Ireland, Habitat for Humanity is a Christian cross-community movement for regeneration and reconciliation within and between communities in Northern Ireland and around the world.

Community-based self-build housing programmes focus on volunteerism, skills and leadership development in conflict and post-conflict settings.

Communications and Fundraising Manager

Salary: £29,859 - £32,487 (under review)

The Communications and Fundraising Manager will have a strategic role in establishing and implementing a comprehensive communications, marketing and fundraising strategy for Habitat for Humanity Northern Ireland, and have responsibility for directing the organisation’s Communications and Fundraising Plan.

The post-holder will be required to have at least:

  1. a minimum of 5 years’ fundraising experience in which they have met income target levels in the corporate, community, major donor and direct marketing streams
  2. a minimum of 3 years’ senior management experience.

He/she will also need:

  1. excellent interpersonal skills at senior level and in particular in relation to the medium of public relations
  2. team management experience
  3. creativity in developing new media approaches to communications and fundraising
  4. high level budgeting and numeracy skills
  5. knowledge of international development and the impact of poverty housing both locally and globally
  6. proven experience of supervising database and donor development management
  7. understanding of best practice relating to all aspects of the post.
