The post-holder will be responsible for managing and developing administrative functions including financial, human and physical resources. The appointee will be responsible to the Chief Executive and will advise the Board of Directors and Chief Executive on the management of financial and corporate governance processes. This post will contribute to the overall strategic direction of the organisation.

Key Objectives

• To advise the Chief Executive on all matters relating to the management and administration of the Agency’s finances.
• Preparation of financial information including company accounts for audit, ensuring the prompt and accurate production of financial reports and projections, including Intermediary Funding Body requirements.
• To manage the agency’s headquarters and local offices, ensuring effective management of estates, HR & administrative systems in adherence to legislation requirements.

Applicants should possess:

1. A relevant third level qualification e.g. qualified or part qualified in a recognised accountancy qualification.
2. A minimum of three years’ relevant practical experience in financial management, accountancy and financial stewardship systems including preparation of accounts to trial balance stage, preparation of annual accounts, submission of annual returns and working with external auditors.
3. A wide knowledge of IT systems and applications supported by relevant practical experience including experience of Microsoft and SAGE.
4. Personnel management experience - a minimum of three years experience required.
5. Practical administrative skills, including the development and maintenance of systems.
