The Mourne Heritage Trust is the management body for the Mourne Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), the area selected for potential designation as Northern Ireland’s first National Park. The Trust has a broad remit including environmental management, recreation and visitor services, built and cultural heritage and sustainable tourism activities, working closely with a variety of local and regional partners.

Countryside Services Manager


Salary £25,437 - £31,653. Scale Point 32 - 40.

As a senior officer within the Trust, the post holder will lead on the development of countryside management, recreation and visitor services. This is a period of significant activity in Mourne and the post will involve policy and strategy development, project development and implementation, as well as staff and operational management of key countryside services.

A minimum of two years relevant experience is essential. The successful applicant will ideally have a relevant third level qualification, although this may be waived in lieu of substantial recent experience directly relevant to the post. Previous applicants are welcome to apply.
