The Poverty Awareness Programme (PAP) is a training resource developed by the Northern Ireland Anti Poverty Network (NIAPN) in partnership with Save the Children and receives funding from the Big Lottery.
Save the children is the world's independent children's charity.Save the Children fights for children in the UK and around the world who suffer from poverty, disease, injustice and violence, working with them to find lifelong answers to the problems they face.
The Poverty Awareness Programme is a community education project aimed at supporting people living in disadvantaged areas across Northern Ireland and explores poverty through participative exercises and activities. Delivered in a local community setting, the modules enable participants to look at how poverty affects them and their communities and supports them to identify ways of working for change.
The evaluation of the project will examine how the training is delivered and the impact the training has within local communities.
The Evaluation forms will be delivered from mid June, therefore the consultant would need to be able to start the work immediately on appointment.
Budget available: £3500
We would invite you to submit your proposal including costings by the closing date of 12 noon 30th May 2007. The successful consultant will be required to meet with the NI Anti-Poverty Network and Save the Children staff to discuss the project requirements on Monday 4th June 2007 at 11am in NI Anti Poverty Network offices.
