HOUSING RIGHTS SERVICE

Housing Rights Service is developing a new initiative to help prevent homelessness amongst those entering or leaving prison. This will involve the direct delivery of housing advice within prisons and also using the evidence gathered from this work to bring about improvements in housing policy, practice and provision for this client group. The organisation is now seeking applications for the key post of:

Housing Advice Development Worker (Prisons)
Salary Scale £20,295 - £23,938 (under review)

Essential requirements include

  • At least two year’s full time or equivalent part time experience of providing advice to the public on social welfare issues including housing advice.
  • Demonstrated commitment to collaborative working practice and experience of partnership working.

A full valid driving licence or ability to fulfil the mobility requirements of the post.

This post is initially for a twelve month period - applicants seeking secondment will be welcome.
