CLIC Sargent is a charity which supports families whose child has a diagnosis of cancer. One of our many services is to provide regular group activities in a safe social environment for families.
We are seeking a volunteer to work one morning or afternoon per week in our city centre office to research opportunities for Family Activity Events. The role includes: contacting organisations who provide activities for children and sourcing potential new events, helping to plan and organise a programme of events and researching resources for activities. Full training and support provided and expenses paid.
The role would suit someone wishing to gain experience working in the voluntary sector. Good communication skills, motivation and the ability to use initiative are essential.
We are particularly seeking under 25 year olds who have the opportunity to join the Millennium Volunteer Scheme where an award is presented after 200 hours volunteering. For more info
