An exciting opportunity currently exists for an energetic and motivated User Involvement Development Worker to ensure that people living with aphasia and stroke survivors fully participate in all aspects of the work and decision making of Speechmatters – Part of The Stroke Association. This job is dedicated to promoting User Involvement throughout the organisation and as such will require the post holder to have an understanding and empathy for stroke survivors and people living with a disability.
You will have recent experience of working with stroke survivors or people who have a disability, good interpersonal skills and proficient use of industry-standard IT packages. You will have the ability to deal with service users both in person and over the telephone with professionalism and courtesy and to multi task at any one time.
The Stroke Association and Speechmatters have joined forces to work together to achieve a vision of a world where there are fewer strokes and all those touched by stroke and aphasia get the help they need.
