The successful candidates must have:

Qualifications/Education/Knowledge

• Relevant recognised Youth and Community or Social Work Qualification.
• OR
• 3 years experience working with marginalised young people.
• Knowledge of working with disadvantaged/marginalised young people.
• Knowledge of the Equity, Diversity and Interdependence model.
• Knowledge of Person Centred Principles.

Experience

• Experience of facilitating young people’s groups.
• Experience of providing professional emotional support to young people who are vulnerable.
• Experience of networking community resources.
• Experience of working as part of a Team.

Abilities - both attitudes and skills

Ability to:

• communicate and present information effectively both verbally and in writing
• problem solve
• prioritise and manage own workload.

Circumstances/Health

• No health problems which would adversely effect your ability to carry out the duties of the post.

Ability to travel independently

• Ability to be flexible in meeting the demands of the post (Positive Futures defines this as being a Car driver, or having access to a form of transport approved by Positive Futures which will permit the applicant to meet the requirements of the post.)
