You’ll take lead responsibility for media and communications, promoting our children’s services, retail, fundraising and volunteering work.

Liaising with journalists and programme makers at every level to maintain a consistently high profile in the media, we’ll also look to you to deal with media inquiries and issues which may affect our reputation.


You’ll be expected to help plan and coordinate communications related
material, such as brochures and VIP visits, as well as effectively market Barnardo’s name across Northern Ireland.

Experience of working in journalism or PR is essential, as well as a recognised qualification. You’ll have impeccable interpersonal skills, while a good understanding of devolved government is essential.
