Regional Anti-Bullying Coordinator (NIABF)

Salary: £25,283

Term: 3 year post

Location: Belfast

NIABFActing on behalf of the recently established interagency Northern Ireland Anti-Bullying Forum (NIABF), and with funding provided by the Department of Education, Save the Children wishes to employ a Regional Coordinator to help deliver a range of initiatives supporting schools, children and parents to tackle bullying and create safer environments. The job includes overseeing the delivery of Anti-Bullying Week activities and the development of a website, as well as promoting the sharing of best practice.

With at least three years’ experience of working with vulnerable children, you must demonstrate an excellent understanding of the impact of bullying in childhood and of current approaches in tackling bullying in schools, a commitment to children’s rights, and the ability to work in a participative way with children and young people.

You must also have a thorough knowledge of relevant policy and legislation, experience of interagency work, and the ability to communicate to a high standard. As extensive travel across Northern Ireland is required, access to your own transport and a valid licence is required.
