SECONDMENT OPPORTUNITIES FOR PARTICIPATION OFFICERS x2

Posts will be located across Northern Ireland with bases in Belfast and in the West.

These posts will develop new ways to involve children and young people in challenging and changing the world in which they live.

Applicants must possess

  1. A third level qualification and two years experience in the last five5 years gained in a young person centred participation related environment* OR
  2. Three years experience gained within the last five years working in a young person centred participation related environment*
  3. Knowledge and experience of working with children and young people in a sector specific environment; for example: Social Work, Teaching, Youth Work, Policy, Research, Probation, Youth Justice, Health (including working with children and young people with learning and physical disabilities), Nursery and under 5s, Law and advice, Arts.

*For the purposes of these appointments, examples of 'young person centred participation related environment' might include such experience as youth work, teaching or in a service working directly with children and young people.
