The successful candidate will provide administrative and operational support as directed by the Home Safety Manager (NI).
Apart from running the office’s administration on a daily basis you will be responsible for arranging meetings and co-ordinating training events. You will possess a basic knowledge of the broader safety issues particular to Home Safety in Northern Ireland and will be able to demonstrate a willingness to further develop your knowledge of the community, voluntary, statutory, public and private sectors.
As the role demands to undertake some work outside the Belfast office, you will be willing to travel and will have a flexible approach towards your working hours. You will be required to develop and maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders, such as fee-paying course delegates, Stormont Government Departments such as the DHSSPS, RoSPA members, Home Accident Prevention NI (HAP NI) & HAP groups throughout NI.
The successful candidate will have an excellent telephone manner and be fully computer literate with strong oral & written skills in English and Maths (GCSE or equivalent Grade C and above).
Your excellent administrative skills will ensure that you make the role a success, e.g. the ability to prioritise workload and to work effectively under pressure and to tight deadlines. You will be a dedicated team player and able to work with the minimum of supervision.
